Positive Intervention
on Single Homelessness
DASH endeavours to do this in many ways, the main focus being on providing Supported Housing in our own and managed property and a Tenancy Support Service (Floating Support) to tenants of other organisations. DASH also manages and supports single homeless residents in the City of Durham Emergency Access Accommodation. Please contact the Council on 0191 3866111 regarding all Emergency Access accommodation referrals.
Supported Accommodation
- Accommodation with support around tenancy issues.
- 8 Self-contained fully furnished flats near Durham City.
- 6 Month Assured Shorthold Tenancies.
- Applications accepted from single homeless people aged 16-65.
- Agency & self referrals welcome.
- Support with moving-on to more permanent accommodation.
Floating Support Service
- Supporting people aged 21 or over to set up and maintain their own tenancies.
- Staff visit service users in their own homes.
- Agency & self referrals welcome.
Emergency Access Accommodation
- 24 hour emergency access with support.
- In partnership with Durham City Council.
- 28 Day licence.

Our online community forum is the place to go if you would like to share your experiences and/or you require advice. Support agencies and organisations are also able to share their information with forum members and other agencies/organisations and to give advice to those who are in need.
There are numerous topics up for discussion, including for example -
