A group of keen volunteer fundraisers of varying degrees of fitness and cycling experience are preparing for the most popular British cycling challenge - the Sea 2 Sea, also known as the C2C.

Two coastlines, one objective – to raise valuable funds to support the very important work DASH Approaching Hartsidedoes to support homeless people and people at risk of homelessness. We will be fundraising to help new residents settle in to their accommodation with start up cleaning packs, toiletries and basic provisions.

Starting with our rear wheels in the Irish Sea in the town of Whitehaven, our charity challenge will skirt the stunning mountains of the northern Lake District and traverse the beautiful open moors of the Northern Pennines. This scenic 147-mile route contains some challenging hills and is certainly not for the faint-hearted!

The aim of this charity challenge is as simple as its name suggests – to conquer the breadth of Britain by bike!

A team of 11 people including 3 staff members and the husband of one of our trustees will be completing the UK's most popular challenge cycle route over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

New residents often arrive at DASH accommodation with little in the way of basic requirements such as cleaning materials, toiletries and other necessities due to their homelessness.

A £5 donation will buy a cleaning pack for a new resident

A £10 donation will buy a cleaning pack and toiletries for a new resident

A £20 donation will provide a cleaning pack, toiletries and basic food provisions

We welcome your support for this cycling adventure and any contribution you make to our residents.

Thank you
