Children at Bowburn Infants School have raised funds for DASH by making and selling cakes at a cake café in the school.

The initiative was led by teacher Jan Foster who organised the event. Jan said; ‘we wanted to organise a fund-raising event for a local charity and decided that a cake sale would be a popular event that both pupils and parents could be involved in’.

The cake sale raised nearly a hundred pounds for charity and the pupils decided to donate the money to DASH. Jan said; ‘we looked at local charities on line and the pupils decided themselves that they would like the money to go to DASH who help homeless people’.
