Four of our residents from the Vulnerable Women’s Project in Gilesgate enjoyed a trip to the seaside courtesy of the Emmanuel Church, Durham. The church provided a bus to take the residents and two members of the DASH staff team to Scarborough for the day. Our residents enjoyed chips, ice cream, the fun fair and a dip in the sea – but not all at the same time!

Tesco’s in Gilesgate kindly provided sandwiches for later in the day.

We would like to thank Emmanuel Church, Durham for their kindness in providing transport for this outing.

We are hoping to receive further donations to our ‘Out and About’ campaign that will enable us to arrange visits for our residents as important social, recreational and learning experiences.
