We are most grateful to the Woodlands School for their kind Christmas donation to our residents.

The aim of The Woodlands – Forest School is to deliver a personalised academic, social and therapeutic programme to allow every individual to move on successfully to their next steps in education, employment or training.

7 year old Jay (pictured above) and his friend Leland from the Beeches school (a part of The Woodlands) delivered two bags of donated goodies to our new Gilesgate office before Christmas along with teachers Ian Lockey and Nicola Dodsworth. The donations were purchased using part of the proceeds from a day of helping shoppers to bag their shopping at Tesco’s check outs. Pupils were asked where they would like their share of the collection to go. Jay and Leland were keen to see donations go to homeless people. Thank you very much Jay and Leland and the other pupils for your kind donations of toiletries, food, chocolates and sweets.

We were also delighted to receive a second visit, this time from teachers Rachel Findley and Julie Dees (pictured left) and pupils from The Willows school (another part of The Woodlands) who delivered a whole range of donations for our residents including toiletries, clothes and goodies. Thank you very much for your well thought through, practical donations.
