Durham University staff and students showed their generosity by supporting several charity appeals at Christmas time including DASH.

At the Bill Bryson Library, gifts donated for local charities mounted up under a ‘Christmas Wish Tree’.

Staff and students were invited to buy and wrap gifts from Christmas wish lists submitted by three charities chosen by the University: Age UK County Durham, Moving On and DASH.

Gifts donated included stationery and art materials for DASH residents.

Trevor Atkinson, Business Development Manager at DASH, said: “We’re very grateful to those who donated to the Durham University Christmas Wish Tree appeal, these are all very useful gifts which are much appreciated by our residents at Christmas time.”
