Students from Durham University visited DASH on 27th November for a volunteering outreach day which involved painting one of our flats in Gilesgate and helping us to prepare stock for the market stall on Saturday December 7th.

The day of chores was organised by our Durham University Student Volunteering and Outreach Project Leader, Lauren Powdrell (pictured left) who rounded up students from different colleges to help us out. Lauren said “the students really enjoyed helping DASH out and I am planning to organise similar outreach days over the next two terms where students from different colleges can come together, work hard for a few hours and have fun!”
