Earlier this year DASH became a Registered Provider of Social Housing which means that, as well as providing accommodation and support for homeless people and people at risk of homelessness, we will also be providing mainstream affordable accommodation.

Being a Registered Provider of Social Housing will be an extension to the work the charity already does. This excellent, long established service will continue to be delivered and will be unaffected by the development of an affordable housing arm to the organisation.

To start with we intend to extend and refurbish Hudson House, where our current offices are situated, to provide 4 self-contained flats. We have developed plans and submitted a Planning Application. You can view the plans on the Durham County Council website.

When they are ready we will be advertising the flats through Durham County Council Key Options where both social rented and private rented accommodation is advertised.
