Staff case study – Miriam

Hi, I’m Miriam. I’m 25 (halfway to 50). In my spare time I enjoy weekends away walking, glamping and exploring new places.
I have worked at the DASH Vulnerable Women’s Project since May 2021 as an Accommodation Worker.
My role includes helping residents with all aspects of their tenancies. I also enjoy helping the women in trying to overcome problems and stresses that each and every day brings.
Each day is different and presents new challenges both for the residents and myself. After getting to know the residents as individuals it is nice to see them improving their own lives. I would like to think that I am playing a small part in helping them to move on to a more independent lifestyle.

Working at DASH gives me so much more fulfilment than my previous career in hospitality.
Working at DASH has given me so many more opportunities to develop my skills while learning new ones and I am looking forward to developing within the organisation.
